Reading Overview

This resources allows you to see at a glance the main components of each resource. You will be able to see:

• what letters will be covered

• the CVC words students will be working on

• which sight words are introduced

• the sentences that students will be reading

• any extra concepts introduced

Student Tracker

The student tracker allows you to easily keep track of student progress. This could be done in a few different ways.

• Have one for each reading group to keep track of group progress.

• Print one for each student to monitor individual progress (great for interventionists).

TIPS & TRICKS

If used to monitor individual student progress, we have found it helpful to put a check beside each item that a student has practiced, each time that they practice. Then, once the concept is "mastered," we highlight that cell. This allows us to quickly know where to start with each student. This is especially helpful when volunteers come to read with our Kindergarteners. We are able to easily hand them the book the student is working on.
