Writing Overview

This resources allows you to see at a glance the main components of each resource. You will be able to see:

• what letters will be covered and used

• the Sight Words that can be practiced each week

• the CVC words that students will be working on segmenting

• the simple phases and sentences that students can practice writing

Student Tracker

The student tracker allows you to easily keep track of student progress. This could be done in a few different ways.

• Have one for each reading group to keep track of group progress.

• Print one for each student to monitor individual progress (great for interventionists).

TIPS & TRICKS

If used to monitor individual student progress, we have found it helpful to put a check beside each item that a student has practiced, each time that they practice. Then, once the concept is "mastered," we highlight that cell. This allows us to quickly know where to start with each student.
